What the heck is “DOWS?” Dinner Out with Sierrans! Every
fourth Thursday of the month, a group will meet at a restaurant in Lexington
and have a meal together. DOWS may continue on throughout the year, depending
on interest. Each month the group will meet at a different restaurant
to get to know fellow Sierra Clubbers better. E-mail Holly Shipley, hshipley@qx.net and

?The book club selection for October is “Letters from Eden”,
by Julie Zickafoose. Everyone is welcome; there will be food, other
refreshments, and lots of new and “old” friends. The
book club will meet on Thursday, October 15,7:30 pm, at the home

?The Bluegrass Conservation Committee will have their monthly meeting
on October 28, at 7:00pm. Everyone is welcome to come and discusss
the conservation issues that are important to you. The committee
meets at the home of Donna DePenning, 830 Sunset Drive. Please call

Come see an environmentally-themed flick at our house! We'll provide a
light dinner main course and you're welcome to bring a side dish or snack
if you like (but not necessary). We have several great flicks to choose
from, so majority rules! We may even get to see a sneek preview this month
of the upcoming movie "Coal Country" which involves several people
and issues near and dear to the Bluegrass Sierra Club!
